2007 Specialized Customer Services AwardThe Specialized Customer Services award recognizes individuals and groups who provide outstanding, innovative programs of awareness within the workforce system. This award includes, but is not limited to, vocational rehabilitation, welfare-to-work, people with disabilities and youth. As a Workforce Consultant, the 2007 Specialized Customer Services Individual Award winner applied for the position of Disabilities Program Navigator, when the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor received a grant from the Social Security Administration to fund the program. She was selected as the Navigator for South Central Idaho. In the community, she worked closely with the Magic Valley Rehabilitation Services, the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, made numerous presentations to community groups and sat on the Magic Valley Transition Team. The team worked with the area schools' disabled youth and assisted those youth in the transition between high school and employment or higher education. Her dedication to the programs earned her the reputation needed for her to be asked to proctor the Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury Virtual Grand Rounds Series. Her main concern remained in providing the Workforce Consultants all the tools needed to assist individual who come to the One Stop Centers for help. IAWP is pleased to Celebrate Professional Excellence by awarding the 2007 Specialized Customer Services Individual Award to Sandra Hacking, Idaho Chapter. |
