2007 Individual Service to Veterans Award
The Services to Veterans Awards recognize those individuals and groups who have done the most to assist veterans and promote interest in their rights in the workplace. These awards recognize outstanding, innovative programs of awareness and furthering of veterans' interest and rights in the workforce.
The 2007 Individual Services to Veterans Award winner has oversight responsibility for the Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program in South Carolina. With her professional excellence, the program exceeded the goals set by the grant by placing 99 veterans into employment in 2007. The 2007 Individual Services to Veterans Award is presented to Director of Veterans' Services, South Carolina Employment Security Commission, Chena Melvin.
