International Secretary-Treasurer Linda Barnes

Linda Barnes retired March 31, 2006, from the Kentucky Office of Employment & Training after working as an Unemployment Tax Auditor for nearly 27 years.
Linda has been an IAWP member since 1981, and she has held several chapter and subchapter offices. She served as the Kentucky Chapter President in 1999-2000. Additionally, she has held the office of Kentucky Chapter Secretary-Treasurer for several years. Linda has also served as the Lakes & Caves Subchapter President and Secretary-Treasurer.
At the organizational level, Linda served as International President, Immediate Past President, President-Elect, Vice-President, IAPES Foundation President, and District VII Director on the 2002-2003 and 2008-09 Board of Directors. Linda took the additional responsibility of serving as Individual and Group Award of Merit Chair during the 2002-2003 administrative year. During that same timeframe, Linda served on the ad-hoc committee to change the organization's name. Linda served on the 2006 conference site selection workgroup, which resulted in the selection of Louisville, Kentucky, for the 93rd International Educational Conference.
Linda graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. degree in Business and Accounting. She resides in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
